Your original text property is untouched; the dropdown is created as a new enumeration property with a
dd_prefix. - Managing Dropdowns explains how to maintain dropdowns over time: adding or removing values, re-scanning the source property for new values (Refresh from Source), and deleting dropdowns you no longer need.
